Digital Marketing is when we empower our marketing efforts with technology. This gives us power in terms of precision, quantification and speed. Since the world has traversed from OOH culture to mobile screen culture it becomes very important to master the techniques because of this technological shift. The world of marketing is everlasting as the needs will arise, be created and the products have to be innovated to find an answer to those needs. We will always need better way of communicating which will change with time as the consumer behavior evolves with time. It says aloud that Digital Marketing as an opportunity will always stay. This helps enhancing the effectiveness of each component and hence is worth trying.
The art of using all the methods of digital marketing available, in such a way that each digital channel complements the other to help achieve objective in terms of revenue or other key metrics, this is referred ad Integrated Digital Marketing.
To find success in this vast market we need clarity of our
dream which further can be strategically targeted towards specific time bound
goals targeting attainable milestones. I have started this journey primarily to
master Digital Marketing which can help me evolving into one of the best
Marketeer. To be able to achieve one has to have great communication skills and
be a gold standard salesperson. It is said “All
is well when you sell, sell and sell J”. Do you have a
clear reason before you start this journey… it can be “1 Cr. in 1000 days”.
To decide on a clear objective according to the opportunities
available in the world we must understand money related dynamics – one of the
very important aspect is understanding world economics. This helps us to
understand the great opportunity ahead and the attitude we must develop. The
world economic trend is a clear mirror. Some of the key aspects. The world
economy grow with increasing average age in a country as spends grow but it
declines after average 50 years age. India is in a great shape as the average
age of the Indians is 28 years. We are always skeptical on being in debt but on
a bigger scale it creates money. When people start paying debts it causes
deflation. Recession is always worrisome but a brighter side is that it filters
out, companies with strong fundamentals stay as people pay for value and it’s
not driven by temporary fad.
The biggest need is communicating effectively to others and
to oneself internally, most of the leaders have achieved their position in life
because they were able to communicate effectively. Here we require to
understand our passion and with gathering information attain proficiency else
it will become a time waster. We become proficient by learning and communicating
to the external world. Here we need to understand and decide our specific niche
in the ever-expanding market and provide solution to the consumers.
Million dollar question is how do we decide our niche...? We
tend to be lost in lot of options but we can categorize niches broadly in 3
types – Money, Health and Relationship. Once we choose any one out of these, we
must study the different needs of the market in that specific niche. This can
be done in combination of ways like – thinking deep about our passion and
relating it to market need, talking to consumers, studying keyword relevance
and also looking into reviews to understand opportunities in the market.
Once we are clear about the niche where we want to create a
difference… we must give reasons to audience to follow us. This comes from
creating oneself as a brand – Personal Branding. We must devote planned time,
money and energy is building self-brand, this is because content without an
audience/consumer is of no use. Fear of sounding average stops us from going in
public, but the key is to remember that no one is born perfect. It’s about
sharpening the saw. A key to create effective personal brand is being original,
we are best when we are ourselves. Golden Rule: Create more and more content
and publish it in different forms and different platforms to own bigger space.
Once we are able to create our personal branding in a
sharply specified niche… like… healthy food, personal relationship advice, etc.,
you start creating your own loyal followers. People always want to hear from
someone with whom they can relate to or through who they can find answers. This
can lead in getting you a job, starting a business and start consulting. This
can be done by writing blogs, publishing videos and becoming a public speaker
It’s about how we create value for the people so that build
trust and then graduate them to the next level in the funnel to a loyalist and
then to brand ambassador. If we can get one lac people at the top of the funnel
to get 1000 people at the bottom and create benefit for them who pay us 10,000
INR, the total earning potential becomes 1 Crore INR J. Isn’t it cool!
